Disciple Drops New Single “If You Say So”, Announces Tour Dates and Venues
Disciple stunned fans with “If You Say So,” the first of several singles after last year’s critically acclaimed Skeleton Psalms.
“It felt like a mission statement,” band founder and frontman Kevin Young explains.
“Being a follower of Jesus comes with both a call and a cost. You’ll have a lot sometimes and a little other times. That doesn’t matter; we have a mission. It’s a nice topic to sing about since I believe that has been our band’s life.”
Musically, the song leans heavily on 80s and 90s themes such as Pantera and Skid Row. The music ends with a scream inspired by a Def Leppard concert.
Longtime Disciple fans will most likely recall the band’s By God and This Might Sting A Little eras as “If You Say So” careens at breakneck speed through the screech of guitars and harsh vocals.
The song is already being tested on the road as Disciple embarks on The Anthems Tour, which also includes Seventh Day Slumber and Magdelene Rose. The tour began at the beginning of the month and will continue until the end of November. You can find all of the dates below.
