1. Although the way be lonely

And darkness shadows fall

I know wherever it leads mercy

My Father planned it all

I sing through the shade

And the sunshine.

I trust in whatever befalls

I sing for I cannot be silent

My Father planned it all.

2. There may be sunshine tomorrow,

shadows may break afree.

It may be the way He chooses

my father plans for me.

3. A day of fullness and gladness

on which no shade will fall!

He stores for me in He presence

unto that glorious day.
