Mac Powell Releases New Album “Live From Red Rocks”
Mac Powell, an award-winning artist, has released Live From Red Rocks, a live project recorded at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The seven-song album was recorded last August during the 2022 K-Love Presents Live At Red Rocks tour.
“While I love making records, my favorite part of this job has always been touring and singing along with fans in person,” Mac Powell says. “I’ve played Red Rocks four times in my career, but last year was the first time I performed there as a solo artist AND I got to play with my daughter, son, and son-in-law.” It was such a fantastic night that I wanted to share it with everyone. I can’t wait for you to experience this memorable night with us at Red Rocks.
Powell is the former frontman of THIRD DAY, a four-time GRAMMY® Award-winning band. His live album features songs from his CCM solo debut New Creation, popular Third Day favorites, and a surprise Fleetwood Mac rendition. Along with the album’s release today, the live video for “God of Wonders” featuring Andrew Ripp was also released today.
K-LOVE Presents Live at Red Rocks is also available on K-LOVE On Demand with “Red Rocks ’22 Finale” and a special series “Stepping Stones: The Path To Red Rocks ’22” that includes a talk with Powell and Cory Asbury as well as performances from the unique two-night concert.
Powell’s most recent album, New Creation, has had more than 93 million global streams. The title tune topped the CCM Radio charts for more than 19 weeks, and his new radio single, “1991,” has just hit the airwaves and is ascending the charts. He also performed “New Creation” at the K-LOVE Fan Awards recently.
