Michael Bethany – Overflow Album
Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, and recording artist Michael Bethany drops his much awaited Overflow, the first album from Gateway Music. The full-length CD was captured live at The King’s University at Gateway Southlake and is now accessible at https://gatewayworship.lnk.to/overflow at digital and streaming retailers around the world.
Overflow, a live worship performance with a global sound of worship, was produced by Ryan Rich and Kyle Lee (Michael W. Smith, TobyMac, CeCe Winans). It was born out of Michael’s own overflow of connection with God. “In 2017, I was in my prayer closet and the Holy Spirit gave me a word about doing this new album and to call it Overflow,” shares Michael. “As overflow was eventually becoming the theme of my life, where out of intimacy everything would overflow, I made a commitment to stay in that place, making it the anchor of my life. Literally, almost every song on the new album came out of prayer, an intimate time with God.” Kirk Franklin is also a fan of the new album. One of those songs, “Fill the Room,” and the music video for it, both of which are being made public today, make a plea for the Holy Spirit to be visibly evident and for the truth of God to pervade each time and place of worship. Listeners can spend longer time in God’s presence thanks to the song’s rousing chorus and extended worship flow. In a manner similar to “Fill the Room,” “He Is Lord” seeks to transport listeners into the throne room of God’s majesty, while “Ask Me Why,” the joyous testimony and lead single from Overflow, analyzes God’s faithfulness. Grammy-winning songwriters Mitch Wong and Mia Fieldes combined current and Gospel music to create the Grammy-winning song “Ask Me Why.”The post was shared on Instagram:A post shared by Michael Bethany (@michaelbethanyofficial)
