The well acclaimed praise group Venture3Media (V3M) releases “Delight-Live” worldwide today, June 21, across all significant digital and streaming platforms. The band’s upcoming full-length album, The Winning Team, which is scheduled for release on July 19, will include the track.
“Delight,” written by Andy Harrison and Josh Ham and produced by Joth Hunt, was recorded live at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) during the Planetshakers Conference 2024. Hunt describes the song as “about gathering up all of our affection and our praise and channeling it up to God,” alluding to King David’s elevation in Psalm 37:4 to “take delight in the Lord.”
Hunt goes on, “‘Delight’ is an upbeat praise song with a bit of funk, hip hop, and dance EDM along with the heartfelt, scriptural lyrics.” With a rap in the bridge, it’s kind of a lit bit of everything. Everyone embraces it completely, even the elders in our church who are of a higher age. My parents are heading into their late sixties and early seventies. There has been a considerable deal of participation.
“Those who don’t typically dance are expressing themselves through their bodies,” continues Ps. Sam Evans, who is featured in the music video for the song. “People are celebrating when they are lifted out of their circumstances or mindset by the hand of God.”
