Riley Clemmons Announces New Album ‘Church Pew’ As She Drops Title Track
Riley Clemmons, a multi-talented performer and one of People Magazine’s Emerging Artists, has now announced the long-awaited release of her third studio album, Church Pew, on September 22nd via Capitol CMG.The 11-track album, which Riley co-produced with Jeff Pardo, represents a period of personal growth for Riley. Riley spent the better part of a year pondering and figuring out what truly made her happy after going through depression and burnout as a result of the expectations of being in the spotlight for such a long time.The corpus of work that results from that trip shows who she truly is.Church Pew is Riley’s first project as an executive producer, despite her familiarity with the company.Church Pew is currently on pre-order/pre-sale.
Riley says, “I feel like this record has been the culmination of my entire life.””Having said that, the worst and lowest period in my life to date is where this record was conceived. I took a break from making music and art to focus on living life while I struggled with depression and anxiety and dealt with what felt like a true identity crisis.I was able to take a moment to reflect on what I loved and related to sonically and lyrically as I started to give myself room to develop naturally.My DNA sounds and feels like a church pew.I’m eager and ready for everyone to experience this new aspect of my heart, creativity, and music. Riley also unveiled the album’s third tune, “Church Pew,” which also bears the same name. All of the significant events that take place in a church pew are explored in this tender yet evocative song. The pew, which provides everyone with a place to belong, is the common thread that connects funerals, weddings, AA meetings, regular services, people in pain, and people in joy.”Church Pew” was released after the singles “Loved By You,” which has received over 1.5 million streams globally since its debut, and “Miracle,” which has received close to 1 million streams in its first two weeks.
Since the start of her nearly ten year career, Riley Clemmons, a rising musician from Nashville, Tennessee, has racked up 85 million views on YouTube and over half a billion global streams.
