The SteelDrivers – Tougher Than Nails Gospel Album + Just A Little Talk With Jesus

The SteelDrivers, winners of Grammy and IBMA Awards, have announced a new gospel album, Tougher Than Nails, which will be released on September 8 through Gaither Music Group and is currently available for pre-order.

“Just a Little Talk with Jesus,” an 11-song record’s debut track, now available for stream & download.

“The sacred and the secular have always gone hand in hand in Bluegrass music… just like Saturday nights and Sunday mornings,” stated group member Tammy Rogers. “The SteelDrivers have waited a long time to do a full Gospel album, but I believe the time is just perfect for our new release, Tougher Than Nails, on Gaither Music. We couldn’t be more excited to share our version of some classics along with six brand new songs written by members of the band, past and present.”

The group, which consists of Richard Bailey on banjo, Tammy Rogers on violin, Matt Dame on guitar, Brent Truitt on mandolin, Mike Fleming on bass, and Richard Truitt on bass, continues to reinvent bluegrass music by showcasing seasoned skill and faultless vocal harmonies that are both familiar and original.

For their album Tougher Than Nails, the quintet’s accomplished veterans combine country, soul, and blues music. The SteelDrivers’ superb renditions of favorites like “Amazing Grace” and “Farther Along,” as well as original compositions like “Magdalene,” “At the River,” and others, express messages of atonement and hope.
