Unspoken Releases ‘What He Says About You’ Ahead Of Fourth Full-Length Album Set To Launch Later This Year
Centricity Music’s Unspoken, a band certified Gold by RIAA, has released their first radio single of 2024 titled “What He Says About You.” This song will be featured on their upcoming fourth studio album, set to be released later this year. The single is now available on digital and streaming platforms worldwide.
Since their formation in 2014, Unspoken has achieved great success with three No. 1 Billboard radio songs, 11 Top 15 hits, over 350,000,000 on-demand streams, and more than 152,000,000 music video views.
“What He Says About You” was written by Chad Mattson and Jon Lowry of Unspoken, along with Ethan Hulse, Tyrus Morgan, Tedd T, Tony Wood, and Chris Stevens. The song was produced by Chris Stevens and Thomas Toner.
In regards to the song’s inspiration, Mattson explains that it was written with their daughters in mind, aiming to remind them that the only voice that truly matters is the Voice of Jesus. He references John 10:27-28 and emphasizes the importance of finding truth amidst the multitude of voices in today’s world. Mattson encourages listeners to remember that they are loved, chosen, and treasured, and not to give power to the lies they may hear or tell themselves.
Lowry adds that the world may tell us that only our own opinions matter, but he refers to 1 Corinthians 4:3-4 to highlight the unreliability of our own feelings. He emphasizes the need to trust what God says about us in order to find true freedom from the lies of others and ourselves. According to Lowry, God sees us as His beloved children in whom He is well pleased when we place our faith in the finished work of Christ.
