Danny Gokey – Brave EP
Danny Gokey, a three-time nominee for a Grammy, is outspoken about his love for his nation and is working to bring all Americans together, at least musically. In honor of our wonderful nation, Gokey has released the three-song EP Brave, which features two original songs—Brave and My America—and a stirring cover of Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the USA.
“I still believe in America,” said Gokey. “We’re not perfect – we’ve made our mistakes. But I still believe that God has used, and will continue to use, America to do great things. Rather than argue about our differences we can choose to agree on our one major common denominator – freedom. And freedom is worth celebrating.”
Accompanying this highly-anticipated EP release is a music video for “My America,” dropping the same day. His hope is to help people fall back in love with this Nation, and the many freedoms we enjoy.
“As Christians, our aim should be to have a positive influence on everything and everyone, including our country,” said Gokey. “It may not always seem like it, but God is in control, and has a purpose for America, and my hope is for people to find the courage to stand firm in and up for that! It’s not just ‘my’ America, ‘their’ or ‘your’ America. It’s ‘our’ America and I believe that we can still make an impact, if we are united!”
Over two million people follow Gokey on social media networks. After Idol, Gokey released My Best Days, his debut album, which debuted as #4 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. Since then, Danny has enjoyed a string of #1 album successes, including those for his follow-up albums Hope In Front of Me, Rise, Haven’t Seen It Yet, Jesus People, and Christmas albums Christmas Is Here and The Greatest Gift.
